Summary of Position: Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Technical SAP Solution Architect position to be located in Denver, CO reporting to the Program Management Office. This position is responsible for providing technical integration and design recommendations for JM’s global SAP footprint. Position must provide the integration and linkage between the functional process areas, technical development, infrastructure, and BASIS teams. Position is responsible for developing and leading integrated design workshops and recommending solutions that are within the global SAP footprint, participating as an advisor during all scope change board meetings to ensure approved changes are aligned with the global architecture, and reviewing all development objects to ensure compatibility with JM’s custom development policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as technical cross-functional liaison in developing global solutions within the JM SAP footprint • Gather and document technical architecture requirements across global locations. • Conduct detailed design sessions for cross functional issues and provide recommended solutions • Participate and provide input on effects of scope control items to the global footprint • Develop integrated plan for program release strategies. • Participate in testing and development of cross functional testing strategies and scenarios • Standardize and automate cross process metrics and measures. • Initiate communication as necessary within the Program Management Office and within the functional and technical areas to ensure clear understanding of technical and cross functional issues • Responsible for development and execution of process and application design documents, enterprise architecture strategy and system configuration guides. • Provide solution standards, detailed design documentation and relevant white papers. • Participate in any SAP related product evaluation. •Coordinate cross-functional formal and informal user playback sessions.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in a global manufacturing environment, including SAP experience • SAP certification preferred in ECC and/or SCM • Participation in multiple project implementations as a technical integration lead or manager • Bachelor’s or Masters degree (preferred) in Computer Science or related field. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP w/experience as a technical leader or integration manager. • Solid communications skills both verbal and written; strong organizational and time management skills and outstanding customer service skills. • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous process improvement methodology a plus.
